The Flower of Life symbol represents important meaning to many throughout history. The Flower of Life is a geometrical shape composed of multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping circles arranged in a flower like pattern with six fold symmetry like a hexagon. Pagans consider it to be sacred geometry containing ancient religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. In the pagan sense, it is believed to contain a type of Akashic Record of information of all living things and is the visual expression of the connections of life that run through all sentient beings.

The Flower of Life can be found in major religions of the world as well. It contains the patterns of creation as they emerged from the Great Void.

Many consider the Flower of Life a symbol that represents or depicts the cycle of creation. This symbol shows that all life and consciousness arises from one source.

The 'Seed of Life' is formed from seven circles being placed with six fold symmetry, forming a pattern of circles, which acts as a basic component of the Flower of Life's design. After the creation of the Seed of Life, the same vortex's motion was continued, creating the next structure known as the Egg of Life. This structure forms the basis for music, as the distances between the spheres is identical to the distances between the tones and the half tones in music. It is also identical to the cellular structure of the third embryonic division. The first cell divides into two cells, then to four cells then to eight. Thus, this same structure as it is further developed, creates the human body and all of the energy systems.

The Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt contains the oldest to date example of the Flower of Life. It is carved in granite and may possibly represent the Eye of Ra, a symbol of the authority of the pharaoh. Other examples can be found in Phoenician, Assyrian, Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern, and medieval art.

Sacred Geometry

It is believed that certain shapes hold a higher vibrational value. The Flower of Life has a geometrical shape that is made up of multiple overlapping circles of the same size. It is considered to be sacred geometry that contains spiritual value and depicts the fundamental forms of space and time.

Because of this, Leonardo DaVinci was very interested in the Flower of Life and studied its form and mathematical properties. He was also interested in how the Flower of Life connected to physical reality as well as consciousness. DaVinci was known for using the Golden Ratio of Phi in his artwork. This is also known as the Fibonacci Spiral, which is derived from the Flower of Life pattern. The spiral that this mathematical equation makes can be found in all living things including human beings, plants, animals and our galaxy, The Milky Way.

Understanding the Flower of Life helps us to understand how the Universe works. It can be used as a tool for connecting during meditation, and also as a powerful symbol to refer to in your everyday life. It is a powerful reminder that we are all connected, to each other and everything else in the Universe.
